Live Event - will also be Simulcast via a Live Stream!
The general definition of potpourri is "a mixture of things." So that's the title of our June event. We are going to cover a variety of topics and answer questions pertaining to issues you are dealing with right now.
We will discuss some fair housing issues that came out of the fair housing forum recently held by the Johnson County Housing Department.
We will give the most recent update received from TALK (The Associated Landlords of Kansas). Which, by the way, $20 of each membership goes directly to the support of this lobbying group that covers all of us housing providers across the state.
Trudy, wants to share some news from GFN (Good Faith Network). Which is a coalition of churches advocating for change in Johnson County. Some good and some bad.
We'd also like to hear from you. What are you currently struggling with in your investing journey? What topics would you like to hear about in the future? What are some ways the LJC can help you?
Also, we will be having our annual meeting by voting for our new board members. You will hear a short introduction from those looking to join. Each individual or partnership will get one vote. Please be there for this important decision that helps with the future of this group.
Here's a reminder of those that are running:
Betty Simmons - President
Mary Durham - VP
Brendon Pishny - Secretary
Bre Reichle - Treasurer
Member - Phil Collingwood, Don Grisham, Eric Grannemann, Trudy Moffitt, Matt Van Boening, John Crader
Lastly, and maybe most important, LJC is about to turn 50. This organization started in June of 1975. We will celebrate this great accomplishment. We're even going to serve birthday cake, and who doesn't like birthday cake?
Come early to network and get ready for this amazing evening. Bring others that you know so we can continue to grow our group and make a big impact on this community will all love. See you then!!
