Strategies to Optimize Your Retirement Plan Using Real Estate

with... Multiple Speaker(s)

We'll be talking DSTs, installment sales, tax savings and multiple things you can do to solidify your retirement years. We'll give an update on the Landlord Incentive Program.

Wednesday, February 7, 2024 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Matt Ross Community Center
8101 Marty St Overland Park, KS 66204
We'll open up the room as early as possible. Come grab a snack and find a seat. This is one of those meetings that could change your financial life.

When life throws you curve balls you hit them out of the park. Our first speaker got sick so I've invited in Patrick Eades from Pillar to Post home inspections. Yes he does home inspections, but he also has a new program to help landlords. He will do your move out inspection for you or annual year end inspections. Come see what he has to share and maybe it will be of benefit to you.

We'll hear from John Christy. John is a CFP who also gets real estate and how to integrate that into a retirement plan. He will go over different strategies that can help you reach your goals. Bring your questions and something to take lots of notes.

John T. Christy, CFP® was born and raised in the Kansas City area and graduated from Kansas State University with a B.A. in Business Administration, emphasizing Finance and Economics. Several years later, he continued his studies at University of Missouri-Kansas City where he completed his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certificate in 2010.  Craft & Sage Wealth is a Registered Investment Advisor offering holistic wealth management to individuals, businesses and charitable organizations.  Real estate investing has always been a passion for John and sharing that passion has become an important aspect to the mission of Craft & Sage Wealth and its clients. Over the last twenty years, it has become evident that the real estate community is deprived of sound advice by even the most credentialed financial professionals. As a result, John and his team take pride in providing best-in-class comprehensive wealth management to real estate investors including overall planning, tax optimization strategies, impacts on estate planning, financing strategies, 1031 exchanges, Delaware Statutory Trusts, Qualified Opportunity Zones, intermediated installment sales, 721 UpREITs, various trust structures and overall strategies to make sure client's real estate portfolios integrate with other aspects to their financial situation and ultimately legacy goals. This has led to teaching continuing education to different industry professionals, including other financial advisors, and almost always includes close integration with client's CPAs and attorneys, when applicable.

We hope to update everyone regarding the ordinance in KCMO restricting denial of applicants based on source or income, credit score, rental and criminal history, etc. I should also have an update on the Johnson County Landlord incentive program.

Remember to share our group with those around you investing in real estate. LJC is our voice against those who are opposing our property rights. WE NEED EVERYONE!! See you there.
